Jonathan Trott Biography

The full name of Jonathan Trott is Ian Jonathan Leonard Trott. He was born on 22nd April in the year 1981. He took birth in Cape Town of South Africa. Jonathan was a resident of South Africa but he played for the England Test Cricket team. In his early days of cricketing career he played for some domestic teams of New Zealand and South Africa. Presently he plays for Warwickshire which is a domestic team from England. He has a record of batting average above 50.00 in both Test and One Day International. Other than only one player is there who holds this record of batting average. In the year 2011, Trott was awarded the ECB Cricketer of that particular year.

Jonathan Trott is a middle order right handed batsman. He is sometime used as a par time bowler as he can bowl a moderate spell of medium pace. He was included in Twenty20 England Cricket team two times in the year 2007. In year 2008 and 2009, he had excellent seasons in England County Cricket which caught the attention of the Test Team Selectors of the England team. He got a call in the England Test team in August 2009. The particular tournament was Ashes Fifth test. In that particular test match he was quite successful in getting a century. He was the 18th player who scored a century in his debut match. After 1 and half year from this century, he again scored 100 in another match against the Aussies. 226 is the highest Test match score of this particular cricket player.  He made this score at Lords against Bangladesh on 28th May in year 2010 and this was the match in which he took his first wicket.

Jonathan Trott was born and brought up in South Africa. His family had early attachments with the game of cricket. His ancestors Harry Trott and Albert Trott were famous cricket players. Kenny Jackson, his half brother plays in the Netherlands Cricket Squad. This particular player got great encouragement and family support to get involved with the sport of cricket and choose the particular sport as his profession.   He had great technique and style for playing the particular game and gave tough fight to his opponents. In T20 cricket tournaments he could not play well. He was dedicated towards the test match. He followed the text book shots of the game of cricket. Jonathan Trott stayed very calm and quiet, whenever he went to bat for his match. In the early overs of his innings he played a steady innings until his eyesight got set. Once he could follow the bowling style, there were no bowlers to stop him. Many experts said that he was only made for the test matches. He had a typical test player attitude that played with proper techniques and style. In his cricket career he had played any risky shots. In an interview he said that until he was very sure with a particular shot, he never tried to play the shot. For this it is quite clear that Jonathan Trott is not all suited for the fast T20 crickets.
